Advancing Together.

The Campaign for Tulsa Community College.

Tulsa Community College has a remarkable legacy of fostering educational growth and empowering individuals through learning. Our impact expands the State’s economy and is an economic engine driving workforce development in the region. Our current economic impact to the Tulsa community is significant, totaling $1.2 billion annually. We are a proven catalyst for economic development, workforce preparation, and community engagement. However, we know a remarkable past is not enough without an investment in the future.

With a goal of $30 million in private funding, we will revitalize and modernize the Metro Campus, creating state-of-the-art lab spaces, efficient use of classroom spaces, and shared spaces to support the recruitment and retention of high-quality staff and faculty. This transformation will enhance the learning environment for current students and will also attract prospective students, thereby increasing enrollment and diversifying our academic community.

Your support is crucial in making this vision a reality. With your partnership, we can secure the resources needed to finalize the renovation plans and ensure they reflect the needs and aspirations of our students and community. Let’s advance together. Thank you for believing in our mission and for investing in the heart of our community.

TCC’s plans for Metro Campus will fulfill several needs, including modernizing the academic environment and creating a seamless transition between the buildings that make up the campus. These plans have been developed over a series of years. Knowing the need in advance, TCC has carefully managed funds to create a financial reserve that would address a portion of the project. The College will dedicate $27 million to specifically address the needs of the Student Union, a 100+ year-old building that will become the hub of student life at Metro Campus. The TCC Foundation is raising another $30 million in private funds through the Advancing Together Campaign that will address the Academic Building (the former Sinclair Oil headquarters). The combined total for the project is $57 million and named opportunities are available in both buildings.

Everything you need
to know about the plan

TCC‘s Ten-Year Facilities Plan outlines improvements at the Metro Campus that will revitalize our learning environments with an eye to creating a return on investment.

Metro Campus Aging Infrastructure

Laboratories lack the latest technologies, classrooms are not equipped for contemporary teaching methods, and faculty spaces do not foster faculty-student interaction proven to support student success.

Since 1970, TCC has grown to serve an enrollment of more than 20,000 students annually. The Metro Campus serves more than 3,600 students for classes, but 28% of the classroom spaces are unused due to size or infrastructure issues.
In an increasingly competitive academic environment, we must invest in state-of-the-art facilities to attract and retain top faculty and to provide learning environments that closely mimic the technology in the workplace.
Approaches to learning have shifted over the years from traditional methods to a greater emphasis on recognizing diverse learning preferences, integrating technology, and fostering collaborative learning. This evolution has created a more inclusive and effective educational landscape in higher education. It is essential for us to be better prepared to meet the varied needs of students by utilizing technology and innovative teaching strategies to improve learning outcomes.

Academic spaces, tutoring,
and online learning expansions

TCC Metro Campus offers general education courses to a student population that has grown nearly 17% annually over the past three years (2022–2025). The learning spaces for general education on the Metro Campus need to accommodate the learning styles of students today—not 50 years ago.

TCC is a Leader in Healthcare
Workforce Development

With more than 350 clinical training locations, TCC students are supporting healthcare organizations across our community. From hospitals to non-profits to tribal organizations and mental health providers, our students are getting hands-on experience. More than 525 nursing students and more than 235 other healthcare students are getting the education they need at TCC Metro Campus.

Faculty Circle

The recruitment and retention of high-quality faculty begins with the build out of the Faculty Center for Innovation, Resources, Collaboration, Learning & Engagement (CIRCLE) which will create opportunities for one-on-one meetings with students as well as collaboration. A hub with offices, strategic spaces, and equipment provides a home-base for faculty that fosters interaction and promotes success.

Testimonials from Our Students, Faculty and Staff

TCC Health Science programs equip students with the tools, knowledge, and opportunities to make a meaningful impact in their communities. This project will strengthen that impact by providing modern labs, classrooms, and technology that support student success. With each graduating class, TCC prepares healthcare professionals whose training will influence thousands of lives.

“Learning takes focus. If you are in a room that is physically uncomfortable, worried about technology challenges such as connecting to the internet, hear people walking above you or in the hallway, you are distracted from the academic work and not focused on success.”

“It is important to me that TCC maintains its reputation as not only the source for affordable education, but also for quality, forward-looking education. When current or prospective students enter our new and shiny lab spaces, we are communicating to them that the education they receive at TCC is equally modern.”
